The Deluxe Fly-Weight Transport Chair is from Drive Medical, one of the country's fastest growing manufactures of Durable Medical Equipment. The all aluminum frame chair weighs only 19 lbs., which is 30% less than a traditional transport chair, while maintaining a weight capacity of 300 lbs. The seat width is 19". The deluxe back release allows the back to fold down for easy storage and transport. The footrests swing away and are easily removed. The chair comes with a seat belt for added safety. Maintenance free composite 8" wheels are on the front and rear making it easy to maneuver the chair. There is a convenient carry pocket in the back for storage of personal items. This is our second travel wheelchair we have owned and it has been the best. Folds very nice, and lightweight. Very durable and is used daily. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a travel wheelchair.

It moves, it does not hit doors and it's quick. I can drive now the bigger ones had me hitting doors backing into stuff and was truly had me feeling like an inept dolt. This is a good buy. Furthermore my parent is all of 275 pounds and we still glide.

The chair is perfect for occasional use - lightweight and so easily portable. Well built by my standards. The foot rest is to high to be comfortable.
We purchased this item for our 80 year old Father who suffers from severe dementia, in hopes of making him more mobile to be able to leave the house more easily. Unfortunately he rejected the chair, and we tried to be patient in order for him to accept it. Well even though the chair is an excellent for the purpose we intended - this past week when we attempted to use the chair (willingly by him) we found that the foot rests are way too high on the chair for him to comfortably sit in the chair (he is not be any means a tall man - probably 5'5")- and especially with his limitations due to knee replacement surgery - the chair with the existing foot rests will not be acceptable. As a little foot note: Be aware of your purchase date for the return policy - it was no one's fault but my own that we waited too long to attempt to return - and unless we choose to pay for the return - we will be attempting to sell the chair on our own. Very disappointed because I think that this would have been a very acceptable choice (if not for the foot rest)
